Don't be fooled, "refined" is not better! Refining shea butter is usually done by bleaching and deodorizing it; neutralizing it with lye; and over-heating it to very high temperatures.

Wow this tub is certainly going to last a long time - even with daily use. Just a tiny amount heated between the palms goes a looooong way. It makes my skin feel super smooth, and has done wonders for my dry heels.

I have had Eczema for over 20 years and I have consulted with many Dermatologist over the years and various prescription lotions prescribed. I would get rashes on my hands, face and legs and just about given up on finding anything that would show any results in helping control the eczema outbreaks. I started using the Out of Africa Raw Shea Butter one day and I noticed a remarkable difference in the way my skin (eczema rash) redness/dryness appearance became less and less noticeable after a few days! I love this Shea Butter. Melts in your hands very well, when rubbing them together. I use it at night on my face, neck, and upper chest area. Helps my hands also. Would reorder this for sure, very happy with it.

I purchased this product to moisturize my skin during my pregnancy. I was pleasantly surprised by how easily the Shea melted in my hands. I like that I don't have to put it in the microwave. I don't see an immediate difference in the appearance of my stretch marks but I plan to monitor them for the duration of the pregnancy and beyond. The smell may be intense for some, it's definitely an earthy aroma. Overall I'm pleased with my purchase.
Mixing it with essential oils like lavender or vanilla will probably help with the smell and I may try this. I also use a small amount on my hair to seal in moisture and it does a great job at this.

It is very softening and I love the way the skin on my face and body looks after using it. I also sometimes mix it with a tiny amount of coconut oil. Although because of the smell, I am only using it on my face and using coconut oil on my body. I stopped using my usual face cream and use this instead.

A little does go a long way. Scoop out a small amount and warm it up in the palm of your hand using your index finger. I use this on my elbows every morning and night; they are so soft! I use mineral Makeup and mix a small amount of the shea butter with BE Bisque to use as an undereye concealer. My undereye area stays hydrated all day long. I've tried a lot of (pure) shea butter brands, but this is my favorite.

I love Shea Butter and use it daily to moistureize my skin after showering. The texture of this one was exceptionally difficult to remove from the jar. Once I removed it (poking really hard), small chunks did not rub in. They were all over the place. The scent was also unpleasing. I would only apply it at night prior to going to bed. On the other hand, it did moisturize my skin, but the grit and the longer time to apply were not worth it in the end.
